    • Thank you, Gail – here in central NC we got bouts of moderate to heavy rain and some strong gusts; the trees took a beating at times, but we didn’t lose any. Our power stayed on, thankfully. The little hummer visited the feeder sporadically throughout the day – these birds are utterly amazing.

  2. This fascinates me–these birds still have to carry on without interruption due to bad weather. There is a metaphor in this. I am relieved to read in your comment that you and your family came through all right.
