    • Lol – a friend brought these chip Reese’s to school. I didn’t know they existed. My family is a big fan of regular Reese’s Cups and while I don’t care as much for Reese’s Pieces, the cups with the crushed pieces are great – I like the little crunch! These with the chips are also delightfully crunchy. Plus, salt…

    • mbhmaine, I did this, too! Potato chips on bologna and mayonnaise sandwiches, Fritos on pb & j. Makes me absurdly happy knowing I wasn’t the only child like that!

    • I am amazed by the number of people who put various chips on sandwiches! I never even thought to do so. I couldn’t believe Reese’s put in the chips. But – I recall old commercials from childhood when it was apparently a novel idea to combine chocolate and peanut butter in the first place…

    • Hmmm. Maybe I could tweak the second line and send the poem to Reese’s. I have to say I am astounded by the number of people who put some kind of chips on their sandwiches! I never thought to try it. My whole family loves Reese’s cups. These with the chips are pretty good; I also like the ones with crushed Reese’s Pieces, but truth be told, my favorite are the plain minis. Especially if you keep them in the refrigerator and they’re good and cold.

  1. Wow. That’s a morning wake-up call. I’ll buy it. I have to say that I am really a fan of the graphic for the “Not sorry, Reese’s” campaign. The dual usage of the comma as the apostrophe in the name. is very clever…though possibly a waste of talent in the ad department. Just sayin’,
    Reese’s

    • It is a clever ad… and I have to say the Reese’s Cups with chips are very good. A friend brought them to work, knowing I like the candy. These are delightfully crunchy, as are the ones with Reese’s Pieces. I still like the minis the best. Better chocolate to peanut butter ratio, maybe – and they’re especially good when chilled in the fridge.

    • Clare, a friend who knows I like Reese’s Cups brought this to work for me to try – it’s pretty good. I like the crunch; I like the ones with crushed Reese’s Pieces also but I think my favorite of all are the minis. There’s a better chocolate to peanut butter ratio and they’re amazing after having been chilled in the refrigerator!

  2. Fran, your humor and wit are ever alive in your Haiku. I love this – reminds me of the M&Ms in the popcorn at movies, chicken and waffles, and peanuts mixed with candy corn. We used to open our PB&J sandwiches and put our potato chips in between the bread slices and eat it. You bring back memories, and now I’m just so……curious about this candy. 🙂

    • I cannot believe how many people put chips on their sandwiches when they were kids! I never even thought of this! My whole family loves Reese’s Cups. We usually keep minis here in the candy dish when my granddaughter is coming (along with Kisses) and her dad helps put them away! The minis are especially good when chilled in the fridge…I like the big cups with Reese’s Pieces also, for the delightful crunch. I don’t know that I would have purchased these chip-stuffed ones (!!) – a friend who know I like the candy brought them to work for me to try. Have to say – they’re good.

      • I was thinking it was going a little too far when they started putting pretzels in candy bars. But chips is just too much. But hey, if it’s good! My favorite are white speciality shaped ones like trees or pumpkins or eggs because the shell is a little thinner and the cream is a little creamier.

  3. How fun – a chance to explain Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups! They are manufactured by Hershey and have been around all my life. For years they were milk chocolate “cups” with peanut butter sealed inside, with iconic ridges running down the side like cupcakes do, from the paper they’re poured in before solidifying. Then, some years back, Hershey began experimenting. If you’ve seen the movie E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, you will recall that E.T. loved Reese’s Pieces, candy-coated drops of peanut butter (similar to M&Ms). The company began adding things to Reese’s Cups, such as crushed Reese’s Pieces and crushed Oreo cookies; they come in white and dark chocolate now, and in different sizes and shapes, probably a hundred varieties. My whole family loves Reese’s Cups – we buy miniature ones most often and they never last long around here! This version with potato chips (!!) is recent; a friend who knows I like Reese’s Cups brought it to work for me to try. I have to say it’s pretty good!
