The photo is just so gripping – the window on the world, the leopard print pants, and it looks like she might even be on the phone, feet propped, pondering. Reflective moments like these make us think – womanhood emerges all too soon!

I took the photo; it begged to be written around…the pantoum form seemed to call. I allowed myself to change a word or two in a couple of repeated lines. Poetic license! She has such a unique way of looking at the world and is growing all too fast – it pierces my heart – love this girl fiercely ❤
